Scott Allen Bennett, author of the best-selling The Elements of Résumé Style1, earned a B.S. in Economics from Clark University, an M.S. in Education (specializing in Counseling and Personnel Services) from Fordham University, an M.S.W. from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, and an Advanced Post-Masters Certificate in Rational Emotive and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from Albert Ellis Institute. 

Bennett is a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, credentialed by the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work. After completing two 12-month Post-MSW Fellowships awarded by the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine, he then joined the staff at Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital. He launched in 2023 BENNETT CENTER, LLC, a practice to provide affordable, evidence-based, and engaging therapy to underserved people in NY and Massachusetts, and continues to provide remote 1:1 résumé writing consultations through writeresumesright.com to career seekers from over 100 countries. He lives in New York.
